Origins
For several years, now, Mission ABQ has been partnering to provide services to the residents Copper Terrace Apartments (Formerly Vista Grande). In addition to weekly food distribution, we have provided regular guidance for members of the community looking for various social services, including drug & alcohol recovery, counseling services, access to affordable day care, assistance with infant and children’s supplies through heartbeat connection and MA Resource Center, and many other daily needs. Also, we have hosted periodic events such as a Harvest Festival, a community Thanksgiving Dinner, a Christmas gift and supply distribution with a community Christmas party, busing to a Free Spring Break Day Camp, and an afternoon summer children’s program.
Partnership with Yes Housing, Inc.
After several years of volunteer work, we are now in contract to provide specific needed services for this community and have developed as an independent department under our family programs. At the start of 2026, we are currently providing Resident Services in 5 Apartment complexes, Vista Grande, Imperial, Nuevo Atrisco, Solar Villa, and Calle Cuarta.
